Hey there, I’m Angela and I’m really happy you’re here!

To make a long story short, I had breast cancer in my late 30s and was diagnosed with Hashimoto’s Thyroiditis a few years later. There is no breast cancer history in my family – I am the first. I wanted to know why, so I started researching and discovered that my lifestyle was contributing to my disease. Foods I ate regularly were negatively affecting my health, causing weight gain, inflammation, and eventually, disease. Not only that, but I had become sedentary and overall unhealthy. I became aware that I needed to start doing things differently. So I joined a CrossFit gym, learned about this crazy thing called the Paleo Diet, and my journey back to health began.

It didn’t take long for me to experience benefits (gradual weight loss, increased energy, amazing skin, clarity of mind). That was 2007 and I haven’t looked back! For me, this has been a completely sustainable lifestyle. My diet has evolved over the years. I’ve tried other therapies because that’s just what I do, but I always return to just eating real, whole foods. Sure, I have ice cream sometimes and I make grain-free goodies with “better” ingredients. And a couple times a year, I do a reset and eat totally clean for 30 days. I’ve become really in-tune to my body and know which foods make me feel great and which don’t. Having this knowledge empowers me to make the best decisions and know when eating off-plan is truly worth it.

I’m passionate about helping others realize that they are worthy of a “good life” and know their goals are attainable. I’ve been set free from the bondage of the Standard American Diet – so really, there’s hope for everyone!
